Sheryl is an attorney with extensive international experience, having advised foreign governments and multinational companies in over a dozen countries on commercial law reforms, international legal best practices in a variety of industries and economic development issues. She uses her prior experience as a benefit for assisting her clients in these disciplines.
Sheryl is also bilingual in French & English.
Sheryl’s international expertise is both a product of her numerous years working as an Attorney-Advisor in the US Department of Commerce’s Office of the General Counsel and her personal background growing up overseas. At the US Department of Commerce, she advised foreign governments and international clients on a variety of legal and regulatory matters, such as the intersection between technology transfer, intellectual property law, energy law (including oil and gas matters and power purchase agreements), project finance, government contracts (including suspension and debarment procedures) and international franchising to emerging markets.
